There aren’t many places where dogs can run free off-leash here in the city, but Emmy and I discovered a small space between a nearby park and the railway tracks that’s somewhat out of view. It’s on a steep incline, and full of weeds, so I don’t think anyone minds that we are running free in this particular spot.
Today I noticed that there were several different kinds of flowers growing amongst the grasses, maybe native wildflowers?

Whatever the case, they are lovely to see dotted delicately here and there in an unexpected place…and Emmy’s quite fond of the grass:
