Quick and Easy Tomato Sauce

This easy tomato sauce has the pure taste of fresh tomatoes and toasty garlic, and it only takes a few minutes to make.I use it for pasta and pizza and pretty much everything else that I ever need tomato sauce for.

Ingredients (for two servings of pasta sauce):

1 cup crushed tomatoes, fresh or from a jar/can
1 clove of garlic, finely diced or grated
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1-2 tablespoons olive oil

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over low/medium heat. Scrape garlic into hot olive oil and sautee until golden, then add tomatoes and salt. Simmer until heated through and serve.  *If you’re making this for pizza, omit the olive oil and just mix the crushed tomatoes, garlic, and salt together in a bowl, and then spread on your pizza dough; no pre-cooking needed.
