Anti-Cancer Salad with Zesty Lemon Dressing

For the Salad:

  • 1 cup small broccoli florets (about half a head of broccoli)
  • 1 cup small cauliflower florets (about half a head of cauliflower)
  • approximately 2 handfuls of arugula
  • 2 radishes, sliced
  • 2 red cabbage leaves, sliced into slender shreds

For the Dressing:

  • juice of one lemon, or half, if the lemon is large
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt


  1. Make the dressing first; place all ingredients in the container of a hand-held blender and blend until completely liquified, or place ingredients in a measuring cup (finely grate the garlic) and whisk well to combine. Set aside and make the salad.

  2. Place a handful of the arugula in each bowl, then top with the broccoli and cauliflower florets, the radish slices and cabbage shreds and then pour the dressing over the top.
